For Inspections 3.10 for iOS we’ve listened to your feedback and implemented several interface improvements to speed up your inspection workflow, spiff up your reports and boost photo upload. Plus there’s lots of performance improvements under the hood!
Faster Inspections
Quick Inspection.
Now it’s faster to start inspecting. Just swipe on a unit or property in the property list and tap Inspect.
One Step to Save.
We’ve improved the Inspection interface dramatically to make it just a single step to complete your inspection or generate a report, and inspections are now automatically saved every time you exit, so you never lose any changes.
Faster Navigation.
Hide and reveal inspection sections with the new Collapse/Expand function. And jump between sections in an instant with Quick Scroll — perfect for lengthy inspections.
Sharper Reports
Report Theme Colors. Add more professional swagger with report theme colors that reflect your brand. Use your company’s HEX code for an exact color match — the report and section titles update to the color you choose.
New Report Date Settings. Now choose to Hide Inspection Date or Use Scheduled Date for your reports. Just tap on Settings when you’ve created a new report, tap on Customize Header and toggle to turn on either setting.
Better Photo Upload & Sync
Photo Sync. Enjoy better visibility into photo upload with the new Sending Photos Cloud Activity screen displaying individual photo sync progress.
Optimized Sync. Many of our improvements for Inspections v3.10 are under the hood. We’ve optimized sync for far better performance and reliability, so you never have to worry that losing a device means losing data.
Interface Improvements
Property Overview
Now lets users easily navigate between reports and inspections per unit. Just tap on Units or Properties, tap on the specific unit, and you can toggle between its inspections and reports with single button navigation.
New Check & Cross
We’ve replaced all instances of “Close” and “Done” in the app and replaced them with tick and cross to simplify the UI and make it more intuitive for users.
User ID
The navigation sidebar now displays who’s logged into the app — great when multiple users share a single office device.
Camera
We’ve also moved the Close button in Camera, so it’s now closer to your thumb for easier switching between the inspection form and the camera.
